How can I support the Samiti’s programmes and what tax benefits are available?

Indian Donors: We accept donations under three categories — 'Eye Care', 'Sponsor-a-Child' & 'Equipment Fund'. All donations made to the Eye Care Programme are entitled to 100% tax rebate under 35 AC of the Indian IT Act, while other donations get 50% rebate under section 80 G of the IT Act.

  • You can pay through cheque (favoring ‘Lok Kalyan Samiti’) /Demand Draft/MO and send it to our Postal Address. You can even come across to any one of our centres and pay cash at the centre for which you will be given a receipt (PAN Card required for cash donation).
  • In case you wish to donate online please click on DONATE.

Foreign Donors: In case you wish you donate online please click on DONATE form and fill in the necessary details. You can send your cheque by post as well.

How long does it take to get the receipt?

The receipt is sent soon after the cheque/draft etc. is cleared by the banks. Acknowledgement cum tax exemption receipt sent to you within three weeks’ time. Email receipts are sent if we have your email id. However, if you don’t receive the receipt within a month, please contact us with details. Also in case of lost receipts, we issue a duplicate on request.

I want to sponsor a full EYE CAMP for surgeries, how should I proceed?

How many children can I sponsor under Sponsor-a-Child scheme?

As many as you wish. The donor has the option of sponsoring the child’s education @ Rs.5,000/- per year, each year, or making a lumpsum payment of Rs.55,000/- towards sponsorship of schooling years from Nursery to class X.

What process is followed in selection of patient for the free cataract operation?

Our hospital facilities are open to all. Once the patient is registered, he is screened, examined and investigated by doctors in OPD. If s/he requires surgery, then he is called on a specific date for free operation. All operated patients are fitted with good quality lens. The patient must make sure that an attendant accompanies him or her on operation day. Patients operated are given free follow up consultation, medicine and spectacles.
